The last Super Series tournament before the start of the ZEN-NOH 2014 World Table Tennis Championships (28 April – 5 May) will be held in Magdeburg. GAC Group 2014 ITTF World Tour German Open starts on Wednesday and will be most important test for the starts before the big gathering in Asia.

“It will be real testing for all the participants. I hope I will play at the highest level already at German open. I prefer to be ready there instead to travel to Japan with any question mark. It is always very important tournament for me ” said Timo BOLL.

Nearly 300 male and female players from 41 nations are listed for this year’s edition from China to Peru.

Eight -time world champion and three -time Olympic finalist in singles WANG Hao from China is at that list as well as Taiwan’s reigning double world champions CHEN Chien-An/CHUANG Chih -Yuan . The men’s seeding at the German Open is led by WANG Hao followed by Dimitrij OVTCHAROV and Timo BOLL. Japan will be represented Jun MIZUTANI ( World ranking: 11) and Koki NIWA (15). The highest ranked player in Wopmen’s Singles Event is SEO Hyowon of South Korea. For germany will play HAN Ying and ex- European Champion WU Jiaduo.

Belarus players Vladimir SAMSONOV and Viktoria PAVLOVICH will play European Champion Li Fen from Sweden will be present alongside crowd’s favorite name / Michael MAZE.
