Actual Women’s European Champions League title-holder TTC Berlin Eastside confidently opened new season last weekend beating at home Postas Sport Egyesulet 3:0. Hungarian Georgina POTA had the hardest possible challenge in her team meeting in the second game two times individual European champion LI Jiao (she also took two WECL titles with Herlen). And she managed to win in five games – 3:2 (6:11 11:7 11:5 9:11 12:10).

“We are satisfied with result against Postas. After a fantastical winning POTA against LI Jiao from 6:10 in the last set we could already imaging that we going to win this match. Despite it was first match for SOLJA in WECL for Berlin and she was playing confidently and won last point for the team” explained Berlin’s Coach Irina PALINA.

Next WECL game Berlin will play again at home. The rival is Austrian Linz AG Froschberg (October 3rd). It will be the clash between double WECL champions (Berlin won 2012 and 2014 Linz 2009 and 2013).
