Team work keeps Linz on top

After three rounds in Group B of 2014/15 Women`s European Champions League nobody is sure that will play in the semi-final because three clubs are continuing with 2-1 score and one with 0-3. Tonight just one of two double WECL champions fulfilled expecta

The most successful Austrian club showed team work against Hungarian Postas. On the other side Dutch LI Jiao tried to push his side to the victory but the player who has two WECL titles with Heerlen tonight had no adequate support from her team mates.

LI Jiao managed to beat two top European players former champion of Old Continent LIU Jia and Iveta VACENOVSKA both in five games. In second encounter of the Linz`s clash LI missed three match balls in fourth set (10:7 10:12) but continued to the victory. LIU Jia Iveta VACENOVSKA and Sofia POLCANOVA took one point each.

Metz repeated last year`s feat beating again TTC Berlin Eastside in five games. It was first defeat of reigning WECL champion. In the previous season Yunli SCHREINER was the hero bringing two points to the French side but club`s newcomer FU Yu took her role this time (SCHREINER wasn’t participated). World`s no. 18 beat Georgina POTA and SHAN Xiaona losing just one set in total. In decisive fifth encounter former individual European champion WU Jiaduo overcame POTA in five sets. Hungarian was a little beat tired after recent World Cup semis held in Linz.
