Big upsets in Serbia

Big favorites for title in both Men’s and Women’s Singles Event at the Serbian Championships failed to reach the final stage of the events. The tournament was well weakened by absence of main stars but still few moment warmed the atmosphere in Novi Sad.

Big favorites for title in both Men’s and Women’s Singles Event at the Serbian Championships failed to reach the final stage of the events. The tournament was well weakened by absence of main stars but still few moment warmed the atmosphere in Novi Sad.

Andrea TODOROVIC and Monika MOLNAR fought for the place in the national team for the World Championships. Andrea TODOROVIC won the title and secured her place whilst MOLNAR failed to reach the final. She lost in quarterfinal.

In Men’s Event top seeded Dragan SUBOTIC lost in the semis. Vladimir RADONJIC clinched the gold whilst Aleksandar KARAKASEVIC watched the tournament from the spectators’ seat.

Women’s Singles Final: TODOROVIC – MAKSUTI 4:3 (5:11 7:11 11:4 14:12 9:11 11:9 11:9).
Men’s Doubles Final: RADONJIC SUBOTIC – FISER MIHAILOVIC 3:0 (11:5 11:6 12:10).
Women’s doubles final: FENJVESI TRUZINSKI – DJURCIK RADONJIC 3:1 (8:11 11:5 11:7 12:10).
Mixed Doubles: NADJNEMEDI FENJVESI – RADONJIC MAKSUTI 3:0 (13:11 11:9 11:8).
