Azerbaijani President Ilham ALIYEV on Monday received Vice-President of the Russian Olympic Committee aide to the Russian President Igor LEVITIN.

LEVITIN presented to the head of state a memorial album dedicated to the Sochi Winter Olympics APA reported.

The presidential aide said Russian athletes are well prepared for the Baku-2015 first European Games noting that Russia will be represented by as many as 300 athletes. LEVITIN said he hopes Azerbaijan will organize the first European Games at a high level and wished Azerbaijan success in this regard.

President Ilham ALIYEV said in his turn that despite the decision on the holding of the first European Games in Baku was adopted little time ago Azerbaijan has done huge work in this respect and will not spare any efforts for the Games to be organized at a high level. The head of state outlined that the event is not important solely for Azerbaijani but the expansion of international sports cooperation in general.

The sides stressed that bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Russia are developing in all spheres expressing their confidence that these relations will continue to expand.

Official Russian NOC delegation in next two days will inspect Games facilities Village and venues including Baku Sports Hall for TT. In the delegation is also the ETTU Vice President Roman MARKOV.
