LI Fen leads Szekszard to win

In the ECLW Round 2 of Group B Hungarian club beat at home Austrian STROCK 3:1

 

Hungarian Szekszard AC defeated the 2012 finalist SVNO STROCK at home 3:1 showing on its first step in the Group B of ECLW that it should play an important role in this season. Player of the match was the 2013 individual European champion LI Fen (Sweden) who brought two points to the host side.

 

In the opening encounter LI overcame Tetyana BILENKO in straight games. Japanese Sayaka HIRANO who debuted for Austrian team was stretched to full distance by Chinese YU Yang leveling the score. Guest was two sets down but managed to recover in third one and continued in a super style.

 

Third clash was in some way decisive one for the final outcome. Petra LOVAS who won ECLW with Berlin three years ago put the score 2:1 in favor of Szekszard. He had very close five-set match against Matilda EKHOLM as both showed big fight in the last three games ended by narrow margin.

 

Finally LI beat HIRANO in new exciting encounter to provide very first victory to Hungarian club. SVNO STROCK continued with 1-1 score having 3:0 win against UCAM Cartagena from the Round 1
