National Umpires course conducted in Azerbaijan

Organised by Azerbaijan Table Tennis Federation (ASTF) in co-operation with ETTU a National Umpires course has been held in Baku last September.

12 highly-motivated umpires (5 women 7 under 25 years old ) followed the classes given by expert Isabelle BEUMIER from Belgium during 4 days.

The purpose was to update the knowledge of the candidates and to prepare them for the next ITTF International Umpire examination. Practical exercises demonstrated how to apply all the rules which was very much appreciated by the participants. The test they took on the last day showed good results in spite of problems of language (the candidates did not speak English and a translator Imamali GASIMOV helped throughout the seminar).
