TTCLM: Crucial moment for Borussia

Today German side hosts Ostrov in Round 3 playing again without Timo BOLL. Orenburg also has a problem with injuries

Several hours before TTCLM Round 3 matches start we bring you some atmospheres from different sides. First we present how Borussia approaches to today`s home game against Ostrov (18:30 CET)…

Coach Danny HEISTER stressed that “It´s a very important game for his team”:

“Because of our situation we had to play without Timo (BOLL) and Kamal (ACHANTA) in Chartres and lost. So Chartres is the leader in our group and I think that the French will finish first. Bogoria Ostrov and Düsseldorf will fight to reach the quarter finals as number two. If we will win against Ostrov we will have the edge over both opponents. But if we will lose it will be very hard for us to go to the next round.”

Borussia`s Manager Andreas PREUSS stated that Timo BOLL still not ready to play:

“Ostrov is stronger than one could think if you only look at the seeding position. The team has beaten Bogoria and with MORIZONO Ostrov has one of the best players in TTCL. KORBEL is old but good and SIRUCEK and TREGLER are young players who are disposed to show their potential and power. We have to play without BOLL again and GIONIS got injured during Word Cup and missed several times practice. We stay positive and we believe that we will win the match.”

Indian Kamal ACHANTA also missed some games due to injury: “We didn´t play against Ostrov before. But we know all the players from international tournaments. They are very professional and we do have respect. However our team is powerful and I hope that our fans will help us in crucial moments to win this game.”

Reigning TTCLM champion Orenburg plays at home against Angers (14:20 CET). Its coach Valery SALABAEV gave us a short comment: “Despite the injuries of some players we shall try to put the strongest line-up for the match. The team is motivated to win.”

The 2008 TTCLM champion Wienvierter Niederosterreich had traveled to France to meet Hennebont (19:30 CET) as their President Dr. Johann FRIEDSCHRÖDER has emphasized: “Hennebont has lost the last two matches but is nevertheless a strong team. Our team has won the matches of the first and second round therefore our team is favorite because of Stefan FEGERL is in excellent form.
