Michael MAZE is winning again

Third round of the Men’s ETTU Cup

 

Danish Roskilde Bordtennis BTK61 concluded the knock out Third round of the Men’s ETTU Cup successfully. After the shaky start and defeat against Miko SIMOVIC on his second exit to the table Michael MAZE overcame Tomislav ZUBCIC to secure the win for his team against Croatia’s Libertas Marincolor Dubrovnik.

 

Halmstads BTK reached the fourth round after 3:1 victory over Hungarian Floratom SZEGED AC Probart. Harald ANDERSSON recorded two wins. Fabian ÅKERSTRÖM also showed no mercy. Ivan VITSEK was the only player to score for the Hungarian side. he needed full five games to beat Carl AHLANDER.

 

The great battle in France lasted only one match. Romania’s Adrian CRISAN gave LA Romange dream start against DT Diddeleng but not in easy way. After he won two opening games Zoltan FEJER-KONNERTH recovered to level. He won two games by narrow margin but in the decisive CRISAN justified his rankings. Duels CHEN Tian Yuan against Gilles MICHELY and Brice OLLIVIER vs. Christian KILL concluded in straight games.

 

In Spain DKV Borges Vall beat Ukraine’s Fortune GUI Chenkai and Marc DURAN easily prevailed and it was only Kyrylo SAMOKYSH who gave guests chance to hope for more. In five games he beat Oriol MONEO but GUI was not in mood for charity in the fourth match.

 

Second French representative in this Round Caen TTC overcame Belgium’s TTC Sokah Hoboken. Romain LORENTZ was the back bone of hosts success with two wins over Rajko GOMMERS and ZHANG Dongying. The decisive match went full distance.

 

Istres OPTT had the toughest match in the round. They beat Cajasur Priego TM but in very close encounter.
