Battle of Generations

After the unexpectedly huge success of the table tennis gala last year in Budapest – the appearance of Jörgen Persson Mikael Appelgren and the long-ago Hungarian golden team István Jónyer Tibor Klampár Gábor Gergely – it was obvious that we would carry on this year. Supported by the Hungarian Table Tennis Association Budapest Ice Palace will host great performers this time on Sunday the 20th of December.

The most brilliant – and at the same time most popular – player with the magic wrist the Swedish legend six times World Champion Jan-Ove Waldner will come together with the Belgian European Champion Jean-Michel Saive who has taken part in seven Olympic Games. Fans can see the double World Champion Tibor Klampár and Krisztina Tóth with seven gold medals from European Championships and of course many Hungarian top players from mini cadets to seniors.

The highlight of the evening will be the match between Waldner and Klampár who played an unforgettable World Championships quarterfinal at Dortmund in 1989.

Just a few days before Christmas the Battle of Generations returns – Sunday 20th of December 16:00. Let’s celebrate Hungarian Table Tennis together.
