2016 Slovenia Junior & Cadet Open – ITTF Junior Circuit

The top seeded Darko JORGIC justifed his status and delighted the home crowd by wining the crown in Junior Boys Singles Event at the 2016 Slovenia Junior & Cadet Open – ITTF Junior Circuit in Otocec. In the final he overcame Yu KAYAMA of Japan in five games (12-10 11-9 7-11 11-7 11-3). In semis Slovenia’s player beat LI Hsin-Yang of Taipei (12-10 11-5 8-11 11-3 11-1).

Japan’s Yuko KATO beat Amy WANG of USA in the final of the Junior Girls Singles Event (15-13 7-11 10-12 6-11 8-11). Previously WANG halted the progress of Andrea PAVLOVIC of Croatoa (12-10 8-11 11-4 13-11 10-12 11-7). KATO beat Jamila LAURENTI of Italy (11-9 7-11 11-3 6-11 12-14 9-11).

FENG Yi-Hsin of Taipe clinched the crown in the Cadet Boys Singles Event. He beat Victor LIU of USA in the final (11-5 11-13 6-11 9-11). In the penultimate stage LIU overcame Takeru KASHIWA of Japan (11-7 10-12 9-11 11-5 10-12) whilst FENG beat Sharon ALGUETTI of USA (9-11 11-8 7-11 11-13).

The title in Cadet Girls Singles Event went to USA. Amy WANG beat Celia SILVA of France in the final (11-13 11-6 11-8 11-5). In semis WAND prevailed against another French representative Cloe CHOMIS (11-2 8-11 11-8 11-6); SILVA beat Jamila LAURENTI of Italy (11-13 11-8 11-5 11-5).

Yu KAYAMA of Japan with Maciej KOLODZIEJCZYK of Austria won the title in Junior Boys Doubles Event after the beat Fanbo MENG and Jannik HU of Germany in full distance match (11-6 6-11 6-11 11-6 6-11). German players beat Ivor BAN and Jakov JAKELIC of Croatia in semis (8-11 8-11 5-11) and KAYAMA and KOLODZIEJCZYK beat FENG Yi-Hsin and LI Hsin-Yang of Taipei (11-6 11-9 7-11 11-13 5-11).

SU Pei-Ling and WEN Ruei-Ling of Taipei succeded to the gold in Junior Girls Doubles Event. On final hurdle they prevailed against Slovenia’s Ana TOFANT and Aleksandra VOVK (11-8 11-13 11-6 13-11). Previously SU Pei-Ling and WEN Ruei-Ling beat Germany’s Janina KAMMERER and Serbia’s Sabina SURJAN (11-7 11-8 11-7) and TOFANT and VOVK prevailed against Caroline HAJOK and Jennie WOLF of Germany (11-7 7-11 11-3 11-9).
