Vice-president of TTC Fakel-Gazprom Orenburg comments 2016/17 TTCLM final. Actual Russian champion in singles event Alexei LIVETNSTOV new face for the upcoming season.

Recently crowned TTCLM champion Fakel Gazprom Orenburg continues with the same powerful line-up Dimitrij OVTCHAROV (World. That news confirmed Orenburg`s vice-president Victor ANDREEV who commented the 2016/17 final against Borussia Dusseldorf.

“We took our fourth title of the European Champions League and confirmed that we are the best club in Europe. We managed to create a team of my dream” stated ANDREEV. “It was a battle of two titans – the battle of two of the best teams in Europe. Our legendary club played in the TTCLM final with the most famous club of the Old World the ten-time champion of Europe – Borussia Düsseldorf Germany. Fakel-Gazprom was stronger in both matches (3:0 3:2). The world table tennis legend Timo BOLL confirmed this fact in his interview to the Orenburg press”

It could say that the champion was decided in the first leg held in Germany when Russian side won 3:0. ANDREEV explains:

“All the players of Fakel-Gazprom played fantastically strong in the 1st final in Düsseldorf. Vladimir SAMSONOV vs. Kristian KARLSSON played as in his younger years. In the end he won a deserved victory. Dimitrij OVTCHAROV won two very important victories over Timo BOLL in Düsseldorf and Sweden champion Kristian KARLSSON in Orenburg in his first matches which provided the fighting spirit in our team. Besides Jun MIZUTANI played a very good season. He scored 16 victories and no defeats”.

Concerning next season Orenburg`s vice-president reveals one new name:

“Alexei LIVENTSOV Russian champion in singles in 2017 will be in the Orenburg club in the new season. We need this player for our successful performance in the Russian Premier League. All other players remain in our team for the next season”.
