Impressive group of participants for the 25th edition of the International Youth Cup in Hasselt

For the 25th time young table tennis players (-21 years old) from all over Europe will gather in Hasselt. The tournament is scheduled between 3rd and 5th of June whilst the training sessions will take place between 26th and 28th May.

No less than 600 players are expected in in Belgium. For the jubilee edition a large delegation from China will be participating too. With this the annual event exceeds the list of 40 different nationalities.

Belgian table tennis is rising. Players like Eline LOYEN Lisa LUNG Robin DEVOS and national number 1 Cedric NUYTINCK are climbing up at the international rankings. All of these champions took part in this tournament in the past.

“Even if your play isn’t top or you started poorly at the tournament we guarantee 3 days of table-tennis fun. That’s unique experience and makes our tournament very popular ” said on behalf of organisers Tim JANSSENS. “A tournament like this at the end of the season offers a very strong list of participants and an open and relaxed atmosphere. This helps connecting players coaches and fans and builds friendships across borders.”

For a first time 20 players from China will come. They will arrive to Belgium a week earlier to train with 30 Belgian young players.
