Borussia takes revenge on Hennebont to win in France Orenburg and Saarbrucken booked quarter-final places

TTCLM Round 4: Bogoria – Fakel Gazprom 0:3 Chartes – UMMC 1:3 Eslovs – Saarbrucken 0:3 Hennebont – Borussia 1:3

 

Ten times TTCLM winner Borussia Dusseldorf took revenge on Hennebont to win Round 4 game in France 3:1. Two months ago in the opening round French side won in Germany 3:2.

 

Three more matches have held tonight November 24th: Bogoria – Fakel Gazprom 0:3 Chartes – UMMC 1:3 Eslovs – Saarbrucken 0:3. Orenburg and Saarbrucken extended their winning streak to 4-0 to secure quarter-final places. They are unique unbeaten teams so far.

 

Quentin ROBINOT provided early lead for Hennebont against Borussia beating Sweden`s talent Anton KALLBERG in straight games. But German side responded by three wins in a row. Timo BOLL beat both Cedric NUYTINCK and ROBINOT in the decider while Kristian KARLSSON prevailed against Liam PITCHFORD in the clash between no. 3 players.

 

Defending champion had a hard job in Poland in spite of winning 3:0. Both Jun MIZUTANI and Vladimir SAMSONOV have been extended to full distance while Dimitrij OVTCHAROV easily beat Michal BANKOSZ.

 

Favorites confirmed their power in the Group B. Saarbrucken beat away 2016 runner-up Eslovs 3:0 after excellent performance of Patrick FRANZISKA who overcame Eslov`s best player in the tense opener – 3:2 (11:9 9:11 10:12 13:11 11:9). Croatia`s Andrej GACINA led UMMC in France winning two points against Chartres.
