Seamaster ECLW Round 4: Bursa secures top spot of Group B

Linz AG Froschberg – Bursa Buyuksehir Belediyespor 1:3

Bursa Buyuksehir Belediyespor secured both quarter-final berth and the top spot of Group B in the ongoing 2017/18 Seamaster European Champions League Women. Turkish side last year`s ETTU Cup Women champion beat Linz AG Froschberg away 3:1.

Actual European champion in the Women`s Singles HU Melek (current world no. 31) opened the clash in a superb style beating Sofia POLCANOVA (no. 39) in straight games. HU controlled the game from the very beginning and young host couldn’t find solution for her play.

The same score was seen in the second match but this time world no. 27 LEE Ho Ching prevailed against no. 52 ZHANG Mo. Host player HO Tin-Tin (no. 164) prevented Turkish club to win in straight games as she overcame Yana NOSKOVA (no. 88) in four sets.

POLCANOVA extended LEE to full distance in the forth encounter. Host led 8:7 in the fifth game but guest paved the way to Bursa`s victory by three points in a row.

Double ECLW champion Linz will fight against UCAM Cartagena for the second place of Group B in the next two rounds of group stage.
