Orenburg targets its fifth TTCLM title

Fakel Gazoprom Coach Vladimir ENDOLOV about 1st final match against Borussia Dusseldorf (Sunday May 13th)

 

Reigning TTCLM champion Fakel Gazprom Orenburg is determined to lift this prestigious trophy fifth time in its history but Borussia Dusseldorf wants to improve their record to 11 titles. First leg of 2017/18 final will be held in Germany this Sunday (May 13th 13:00 CET) while second game is scheduled for May 18th.

 

“The upcoming 1st leg final in Düsseldorf is expected to be very intense for both teams. There are no trifles in such matches as any factor can become decisive. We hope that the players of our team will approach to these matches in good shape and show maximum concentration and will to win. Borussia Düsseldorf is very strong. The matches against the German team are always exciting and unpredictable fight. The result of the first match can significantly affect the outcome of the whole confrontation” stressed Orenburg`s Coach Vladimir ENDOLOV.

 

Vladimir SAMSONOV & Co. will play their seventh TTCLM final in last eight years. They won four titles including one taken last year in the final against Borussia. It will be fourth encounter between these two clubs in the ultimate chapter as Russian side leads 2:1.

 

Defending champion still has two unbeaten players Japan`s Jun MIZUTANI (10-0) an Belarus Vladimir SAMSONOV (8-0). Other finalists win-loss records are following: Dimitrij OVTCHAROV 8-1 Alexey LIVENTSOV 2-2 Denis IVONIN 0-1 Fedor KUZMIN 0-1 (all four from Orenburg) Timo BOLL 13-3 Kristian KARLSSON 9-3 Anton KALLBERG 5-5 Stefan FEGERL 1-5.
