No cracks in Sabina’s armor

European Youth Top 10

Top seeded player in the Junior Girls Event at the European Youth Top 10 Sabina SURJAN of Serbia is in the full swing in Portugal’s Vila Real. After two days of the tournament she is still unbeaten. On the second day she showed even more superior performance.

Tania PLAIAN of Romania won only one game against Sabina as well as Czech Republic’s Zdena BLASKOVA. For Lucie GAUTHIER of France SURJAN needed only four games.

“I’m playing very well but it’s been hard because all the players are very good only the best are here. So far I won all my matches but the hardest are yet to come. I want to win all my games in this tournament and to win the title ” said Sabina SURJAN. “I already won the Junior title at the 2018 Tunisia Open and at the European Championship I lost on the quarter-finals against Ning Jing who eventually clinched the title. My main objective for the Senior Europe Championship in Alicante is to qualify for the main draw and I want to reclaim my top spot on the U18 World Rankings.”

Andreea DRAGOMAN of Romania has only one defeat from yesterday. Today she overcame Tijana JOKIC of Serbia Celia SILVA of Portugal and Andrea PAVLOVIC of Croatia.

On third position on current rankings are Franziska SCHREINER of Germany and Tania PLAIAN with four victories out of six rounds.
