Rares SIPOS of Romani as a top seed is expected to be there as well as his compatriot no. two seed Cristian PLETEA and no. three Irvin BERTRAND of France. Only surprising name in that company is no. nine seed Laurens DEVOS of Belgium.

Laurens DEVOS overcame SIPOS at the beginning of the day and continued with good performance against Tiago LI of Portugal and Kay STUMPER of Germany.

“At the moment my performance at the tournament is good. I am happy because this morning I won against SIPOS. That was a good win for me. In addition I beat Tiago LI also by 4-3. Yesterday I lost two matches and won only one ” said Laurens DEVOS.

DEVOS kept his feet on the ground.

“I’m not expecting to win the tournament nor getting a medal. I’m just here to play some good matches against some good players. I just want to play and see how far I can get. Winning a medal is very difficult but we’ll see. This season I just want to play good matches and see if I can climb the ranking but is very difficult.”
