England and Italy succeeded in Norway

ITTF-European Teams Championships

The last two matches of fourth round of ITTF-European Teams Championships first phase played in Norway. In both Men’s and Women’s Event hosts suffered defeat.

Italy’s Leonardo MUTTI Antonino AMATO and Daniele PINTO overcame Norway’s Eskil LINDHOLM Borger HAUG and Frederik MERINGDAL. The match concluded in straight matches. Previously Italy beat Israel and Norway in the opening round.

In Women’s category England needed one match more to record the victory. Maria TSAPTINOS overcame Ilka DOVAL and Tin Tin HO overcame both Rebekka CARLSEN and DOVAL. Rikke SKATTET scored the only point for the hosts against Denise PAYET. England is unbeaten in the Group; besides Norway they overcame Greece.
