Table Tennis Champions League Men

 

All six TTCLM matches held today (October 25th) were finished in straight games with two mutual meetings between FC Saarbrucken and GDCS Juncal as two clubs agreed to play twice tonight (Round 3 and Round 4) in the German city of Saarbrucken. Four teams continue unbeaten: Fakel Gazprom (Group A) UMMC (Group B) Saarbrucken (Group C) and Borussia Dusseldorf (Group D).

 

Reigning champion Fakel Gazprom beat TTCLM newcomer Leka Enea 3:0 in Group A Round 3 with three encounters in straight games: Marcos FREITAS – Endika DIEZ 3:0 CHUANG Chih-Yuan – Taras MERZLIKIN 3:0 Vladimir SAMSONOV – Daniel PALACIOS 3:0.

 

Actual TTCLM runner-up UMMC beat away SPG Walter Wels 3:0. Alexander SHIBAEV overcame KANG Dangsoo in four games of the opener while other two clashes saw easy wins of guest players: Frane KOJIC – Jonathan GROTH 0:3 Adam SZUDI – Andrej GACINA 0:3.

 

Saarbrucken beat twice 3:0 Juncal in its hall. SHANG Kun Tomas POLANSKY and Darko JORGIC didn’t allow their opponents to win any game. In same Group C Bogoria beat away Ping Pong Club Villeneuvois 3:0 with just one tense clash when Vasily LAKEEV extended Panagiotis GIONIS to full distance.

 

Borussia Dusseldorf 11-time TTCLM winner beat STK Starr Croatia in just 85 minutes. German side took seriously Croatian team playing with strong line-up with Timo BOLL Omar ASSAR and Anton KALLBERG.
