TTCLM: Borussia and Bogoria secure quarter-finals

Table Tennis Champions League Men Round 4

Borussia Dusseldorf and KS Dartom Bogoria Grodzisk Mazowiecki secured their places for the 2019/20 TTCLM quarter-finals as they beat away STK Starr Croatia and Ping Pong Club Villeneuvois respectively. Both matches were decided in straight matches like it happened in Round 3 when Borussia and Bogoria hosted same opponents.

German team was too strong for STK Starr Croatia in Group D in spite of playing without Timo BOLL. Sweden’s Anton KÄLLBERG beat SUN Chia-Hung in the opener his compatriot Kristian KARLSSON overcame Ronald REDJEP in straight games while Ricardo WALTHER prevailed against QIU Liang after four games.

Regarding game held in Group C French team started well as Vassily LAKEEV won first two games against Panagiotis GIONIS but Greek responded by three games in a row. Next two encounters were decided in straight games: Marek BADOWSKI beat Vildan GADIEV and Pavel SIRUCEK defeated Nima ALAMIAN.
