Greenhouse Sport Centre gathered top coaches in London

ETTU – ITTF Annual Coaching Conference 2019

 

The ETTU – ITTF Annual Coaching Conference 2019 is underway in Marylebone London. The Conference is taking place in the venue „Greenhouse Sport Centre” which is a former church that has been wonderfully renovated some years ago and is used now by Table Tennis England. Table tennis is among the 5 sports of the whole charity program that can be played by children at this beautiful and unique venue on daily basis.

 

Annual Coaching Conference gathered 30 foreigner coaches from 20 Associations and about 30 coaches representing host association.

 

After the welcome speeches of Table Tennis England Chair Sandra DEATON and ETTU President Ronald KRAMER Greenhouse Sport Charity host Jason SUGRUE started the Conference explaining in details the story of the building and the daily work of the Charity program.

 

DTTB Sports Director Richard PRAUSE had a three hours lecture with great interaction of the coaches on subject of “Plastic ball – Influence on the technique and tactics of table tennis”.

 

Today the Conference continues with the 2nd lecture of Richard PRAUSE’S “Service / Receive in modern table tennis” followed by DTTB Fitness Coach Benjamin SCHMITZ’S “Speed in High Performance Table Tennis / New Aspects of Weight Coordination and Neuro Athletic Training” lesson in the afternoon.

 

The day will end with City cruise on the River Thames by taking in the sights of London. On 1st November members of the Table Tennis England Performance Team Alan COOKE and Matt STANFORTH will take over with ‘Project 913 – Table Tennis England’
