UMMC completes group stage unbeaten

Table Tennis Champions League Men Round 6

 

Actual TTCLM runner-up TTSC UMMC beat away Rosklide Bordtennis 3:1 to complete group stage with a perfect 6-0 win-loss record in Group B. Like in the Round 5 Russian side played with four players including 16-year-old Semen SHEVNIN who lost ZHAI Yujia in four games of the second match. Both teams are going to play in the quarter-finals.

 

Denmark’s Jonathan GROTH beat his famous compatriot Michael MAZE in the opener. Andrej GACINA prevailed against Claus NIELSEN in straight games while Alexander SHIBAEV secured victory for Verkhnaya Pyshma’s side by his win over MAZE.

 

Ostrava recorded its very first win in this season defeating Walter Wels at home 3:2. Felipe OLIVARES secured two points for the Czech club as he beat Frane KOJIC and Gabor BÖHM. His clash with BÖHM decisive one was very tense and tied until 2:2 (7:7) when he won four consecutive points. BÖHM had a bad luck as he was beaten twice in five games first time by Ondrej BAJAGER in the opening encounter.
