ETTU congratulates ITTF on 94th anniversary

The European Table Tennis Union (ETTU) has congratulated the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) on celebrating their 94thĀ anniversary.

The ITTF wasĀ officiallyĀ formed on 12 DecemberĀ 1926 at an AGM in London following a meeting of representatives fromĀ EuropeĀ earlier that year. TheĀ ITTF ConstitutionĀ wasĀ adopted along with first set of standardizedĀ laws. It was also the year that the first World Championships was held.

The ETTU is proud that Europe played such a central role in the foundation of the sport and recognises that Europe Ā along withĀ allĀ continental federations Ā has aĀ responsibilityĀ toĀ support theĀ ITTF in the global development of table tennis respectingĀ all its traditions and capabilities.

The ETTU thanks the ITTF for their visionary leadership over the last 94 years and looks forward toĀ continuedĀ constructive engagement for the good and prosperity of table tennis.
