Pandemic did not change the order in Europe’s top scene

In the semi final of the Champions League Men 2020/21 in ARAG CenterCourt Düsseldorf will play:TTSC UMMC vs. Borussia Düsseldorf and Fakel-Gazprom Orenburg vs. 1 FC Saarbrücken. Both matches are scheduled for tomorrow.

Borussia Düsseldorf the most successful club in the history of Men’s competition clinched the title 11 times. They won its very first one in the 1988/89 season while the latest crown has been taken in 2017/18. TTSC UMMC played two times in the final and in both occasions lost to Fakel-Gazprom Orenburg (2018/19 and 2011/12).

Fakel-Gazprom Orenburg won the big trophy five times including the latest in season 2018/19. 1 FC Saarbrücken still awaits for the trophy. Last season they reached the semi final before Pandemic halted all games.

It is interesting that we will continue tomorrow exactly where we stopped in February; the same clubs reached the penultimate phase and the draw was the same.
