SKST Stavoimpex Hodonin in pursuit for medal

,

SKST Stavoimpex Hodonin of Czech Republic arrived in Novi Sad with the high hopes for the medal at the Tamanneftegas Europe Cup Women Final to be played from Amanitas 6th to 9th May.

“We are coming to Novi Sad without our Asian players, that means Natailia PARTYKA, Solomiya BRATEYKO, Markéta ŠEVČÍKOVÁ and two junior national team players Linda ZÁDĚROVÁ and Anna KLEMPEREROVÁ.The team is in a good shape, we have just won our quarter-finals series in Czech league 5:0 and 5:1, which was good preparation for the tournament. Solomiya played also well in Olympic qualification in Portugal and Linda with Markéta had good results in Czech women national team tournament, so it seems we are prepared well for Europe cup, “ explained SKST Stavoimpex Hodonín  coach Jaroslav MIKESKA.

MIKESKAS’ optimism has a good base.

“Now in 2021 there are no restrictions for professional players, so the Covid situation didn’t affect our trainings. It affected only our national league, because the regular season was only one rounded and not two as usual. But I think the situation should not have big affection for the Europe cup.”

The aspirations are therefore high.

“We are coming with hopes of fighting for a medal position in Europe cup, although we won’t have Sakura MORI as we had in the Champions league in last December. But this is a chance for some of our young players to play hard matches against best in Europe. However, for sure we are aware of a strength of all teams competing in Novi Sad, so first we need to concentrate to go through group stage and then we will see,” concluded MIKESKA.

SKST Stavoimpex Hodonin (Czech Republic) leads the standings in Grouyp D followed by ASD Quattro Mori Cagliari (Italy) and Asea Sarises Florinas (Greece).
