Top class players on duty on titleholders’ soil in Berlin

Last year’s winners Germany’s ttc Berlin eastside will host the Group A of the Stage 2 of the 2021/2022 TAMANNEFTEGAS European Champions League Women. They will face the challengers from SH-ITB Budaörsi Sport Club of Hungary CP Lyssois Lille Métropole of France and GDCS Do Juncal of Portugal.

Berlins’ club has 5 titles in Champions League and 3 in Europe Cup; SH-ITB Budaörsi Sport Club played in the final of the Europe Cup last year whilst French club won the title in Europe Cup in 2016.

“It’s a must to win the group and our aim is to win again the Champions League ” Team Manager Andreas HAIN summed up the all goals and expectations before the start of the Saturday’s matches.  

The list of players in Berlin’s jersey are very impressive and includes the names of the Europe Top 16 Cup winner Nina MITTELHAM SHAN Xiaona Britt EERLAND Ye LIN Sabina SURJAN Jessica GÖBEL Irina PALINA Kathrin MÜHLBACH Yaping DING Jing NING Johanna SALZMANN Josephine PLONIES.

“We’re not happy about the WTT tournaments during this event so not all of players will be available but with SHAN MITTELHAM EERLAND and SURJAN we will be have a very strong team including the 3 players which won last year the final against Linz ” reminded us Manager HAIN.

For SH-ITB Budaörsi Sport Club of Hungary is listed: Georgina POTA Maria FAZEKAS Helga Adel DARI Lili CSISZAR Dora LORX and Emma JUHASZ.

“We are very happy to have opportunity to play against Budaörs with Gina Potá. She played 12 years for our club and won many titles with and for our club. That’s the highlight for all fans in Berlin.”
