Frane KOJIC backbone of SolexConsult TTC Wiener Neustadt success

The all Austrian clash in the opening leg of the quarterfinal of the TAMANNEFTEGAS Europe Cup Men between SolexConsult TTC Wiener Neustadt and SPG FELBERMAYR Wels concluded with the win of the club from Wiener Neustadt after five matches thriller. With two wins Frane KOJIC was the back bone of club’s success.

The did not start well for the hosts. Tomas KONECNY lost to Jiri MARTINKO in straight games (9:11 8:11 8:11) but then KOJIC leveled the match with the win over Andreas LEVENKO. Croat also needed only three games (11:7 11:7 13:11). Felix WETZEL beat Gabor BOHM to give the hosts advantage in the match 3:1 (11:8 12:14 11:4 11:9).

It was before LEVENKO pushed into the decisive match by beating KONECNY 3:1 (11:9 11:8 8:11 11:7).

In thrilling finish KOJIC proved he has better nerves and beat MARTINKO 3:2 (11:3 5:11 11:6 7:11 6:4).
