ALCL TT Grand Quevilly won the golden match to progress to the semis

The last match in the quarterfinal of the TAMANNEFTEGAS Europe Cup Women brought very tight duel in Taganrog. Russia’s club prevailed in five matches against ALCL TT Grand Quevilly but in the gold match it was French club who gained the place in the semifinal.

The opening leg finished with the win of the French team 3:2 but in Russia the close finish went in Taganrog’s favor.

Yulia PROKHOROVA was the key player with two win over LI Samson (10:12 11:5 11:7 9:11 6:0) and Pauline CHASSELIN (11:8 12:10 8:11 13:11). The decisive match has been won by Margarita FETUKHINA against LI (8:11 7:11 11:5 11:9 6:1). FETUKHINA lost to CHASSELIN previously (6:11 7:11 9:11) whilst Olga KULIKOVA was defeated in the match against Anais SALPIN (4:11 8:11 9:11).

In the golden match SALPIN beat PROKHORPVA 11:9 and CHASSELIN overcame FETUKHINA 11:8.

In the semis French club will meet Italian side ASD Quattro Mori whilst – UCAM Cartagena T.M will play against Novi Sad.
