In the opening leg of the Women’s Champions League quarterfinal Saint-Quentin TT beat UCAM Cartagena TM 3:2.

Sarah DE NUTTE overcame Dora MADARASZ (11:7 13:11 13:11) to give French side dream start but Maria XIAO was too strong for Camille LUTZ (11:5 11:13 11:7 4:11 6:2) and later for DE NUTTE (11:7 11:9 9:11 11:8).

Olga MIKHAYLOVA overcame Silvia ERDELYI (11:5 9:11 11:4 8:11 5:6) and in the decisive match Camille LUTZ beat Dora MADARAZ (11:8 8:11 11:3 11:9).

“We won very close duel tonight and we are very happy because everybody won one match. Now we can enjoy a little but we need to focus again very soon because we are travelling to Cartagena tomorrow. Maria XIAO played very good we will have to find solution against her ” said LUTZ.

In the opening match of the Champions League Women quarterfinal TTC Berlin eastside beat Metz TT in five matches.
