Wales Netherlands and Switzerland booked the last three remaining spots for Malmo

The list of participants for the Final Stage of the European Championships in Malmo has been finalised after the Stage 2 tournament in Osijek. In September 24 men’s and 24 women’s teams will compete for medals in Sweden.

In the women’s team event at Stage 2 of the European Championships Netherlands and Wales secured the last two tickets to Sweden on the last day of play in Osijek. Netherlands overcame Lithuania in the playoff match while Wales prevailed against Finland. Additionally eight teams had previously qualified from the Group Stage: Austria Belgium Italy Greece Bulgaria England Croatia and Turkey.

The list of women’s European Championships final participants includes reigning champion Germany and host Sweden as well as Stage 1 winners Romania Portugal France Luxembourg Hungary Czechia Slovakia Serbia Ukraine Slovenia Poland and Spain.

In the men’s team event Switzerland secured the last remaining position after accounting for Spain. Ten more teams qualified for Sweden on Friday and Saturday in Croatia: Poland Finland Hungary Turkey Italy Serbia Ukraine Netherlands Greece and Norway. The men’s European Championships final will also include reigning champion Germany host Sweden as well as Stage 1 winners of the groups and runners-up Belgium Denmark France Austria Croatia Czechia Romania Portugal England Slovakia and Slovenia.
