Flavien COTON Crowned Champion at Under-19 Boys’ Singles Event in Poland

The Under-19 Boys’ singles event at the 2024 Europe Youth Top 10 in Grodzisk Mazowiecki Poland ended with Flavien COTON of France securing victory. Germany’s Andre BERTELSMEIER finished second while Portugal’s Tiago ABIODUN claimed third place.

COTON suffered only one defeat during the tournament which came at the hands of BERTELSMEIER. Earlier this year COTON had halted BERTELSMEIER’s progress in the quarterfinal of the European Youth Championships where he later went on to win the silver medal in singles and was a finalist in doubles with Nathan LAM.

BERTELSMEIER on his way to the podium lost to ABIODUN and Spain’s Daniel BERZOSA.

Last year Tiago ABIODUN triumphed in the Under-15 event at the Top 10 in Bucharest and won gold at the European Youth Championships in Gliwice. This year in the Under-19 category in Malmö he reached the Round of 32.
