17th ITTF Sports Science Congress – Doha 2025: A Premier Event for Table Tennis Science

The International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) announced the 17th ITTF Sports Science Congress, set to take place in Doha, Qatar, on 15-16 May 2025. This event is jointly provided by the Qatar Table Tennis Association (QTTA) and Aspetar-Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Hospital, offering a unique opportunity for professionals to engage with leading experts in table tennis science and sports medicine.

The Congress, an accredited CPD activity, will feature world-class speakers sharing the latest evidence-based insights into diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of injuries in table tennis players. Discussions will cover key areas such as:

  • Injury risk and health management for male and female athletes, including youth and adults.
  • Travel sports medicine and the impact of transoceanic travel on performance and recovery.
  • The role of sleep in elite sports and its implications for table tennis professionals.
