Group 8: rising excitement around Sabadell's European premiere  

23/08/2009 - Club Falcons Sabadell for first time will host the Men's ETTU Cup Group 8 and the club representatives believe that the team can reach the second phase. Catalonia's team was tenth last season in Superdivision.  The backbone of clubs league success, Chinese player LI Dandan will join the team on August 17th to starts preparation for the European season. He will play alongside Ferran BRUGADA (17 year-old), Ramon MAMPEL, Carlos ALAEZ, Sergi MARTINEZ and Martin Ignacio AGUSTI. The Spanish team participate to a European competition for the very first time. The Club Falcon is Sabadell' socio-cultural and sport entity with over 500 associates, one-fourth belonging to teble tennis section. The club is also having lot of supporters, since around 250 spectators attend each Superdivision match.

In the same group are also DT Echternach from Luxembourg with Trajan CIOCIU, Mirko HABEL, Marco SCHMITT, Laurent BODEN, Ralph BERMES and Paolo DE JESUS. Two seasons ago Libertas Marinkolor Dubrovnik failed top reach the second Round, but last season they succeeded. It is sure that Neven JUZBASIC, Damir ATIKOVIC, Marko HABIJANEC, Marko VENER, Filip MIKULIC and Leonardo VRODA will try to make one step further this season.

Vice champions of the Czech League KST Robot Mokre Lazce played in the second Stage of the ETTU Cup and reached position number two last year. Lubomir JANCARIK, Jakub KLEPRLIK, Viktor DIDUKH, Ondrej BUBA, Jiri REZAB, Ales BUBA will represent the club this year.

The member of Round of 16 clubs in last season, TC Nord Donetsk from Ukraine will be represented by Vitaly NEKHVEDOVICH, Yevhen PRISHCHEPA, Maksim MAKSIMOV, Oleg FILENKO, Aleksandr KUCHUK and Dmitro PYSAR. They started from the Second Stage last year and reach KO stage, but lost against German Pluderhausen in the first Round.
