EVENT'S FORMATMatches of the European Nations League, hereinafter referred to as The League shall be organised by a member Association according to special directives published by the ETTU.
The competition shall be conducted by the General Secretary, who shall have the authority to change dates of matches whenever needed. On the basis of a justified request from one of the Associations the Executive Board shall have the authority to change the venue of matches even to a location situated on the territory of a neighbouring Member Association.
The European Nations League shall consist of the European Nations Men's League and the European Nations Women's League. The composition of divisions (8 teams per division) shall be announced 3 months before the event starts.
SYSTEM OF PLAY1- PREMIER DIVISIONThere shall be 8 teams in the Premier Division.
In the 1st stage, teams ranked 1-8 in the seeding list shall be distributed into 2 groups and teams in each group shall play each other in home and away matches to determine a ranking order for each group.
In a group, 2 match points shall be awarded for a win, 1 for a loss in a played match and 0 for a loss in an un-played or unfinished match, and the ranking order shall be determined primarily by the numbers of match points gained.
If two or more teams have gained the same number of match points their relative positions shall be determined only by the results of the matches between them, taking successively the number of match points, the ratios of wins to losses in individual matches, games and points, as far as it is necessary to resolve the order.
If two or more teams have gained the same number of match points and have the same ratios of wins to losses in individual matches, games and points, their relative positions shall be decided by lot.
In the 2nd stage, the winners and the second ranked teams of the groups shall play in a direct knockout system, with semi-finals and finals, to determine the winner of the competition. Matches shall be played in 2 legs, home and away, with second ranked teams of groups playing the first semi-final match at home. For the finals, the team playing its first match at home shall be drawn by lot.
If in matches of the second stage each team has won one leg, the winner shall be the team with the better aggregate score, first in individual matches, then in games and finally in points. If they are still equal, the winner shall be decided by lot.
2- CHALLENGE DIVISIONThere shall be 8 teams in the Challenge Division.
In the 1st stage, teams ranked 9-16 in the seeding list shall be distributed into 2 groups and teams in each group shall play each other in home and away matches to determine a ranking order for each group.
In a group, 2 match points shall be awarded for a win, 1 for a loss in a played match and 0 for a loss in an un-played or unfinished match, and the ranking order shall be determined primarily by the numbers of match points gained.
If two or more teams have gained the same number of match points their relative positions shall be determined only by the results of the matches between them, taking successively the number of match points, the ratios of wins to losses in individual matches, games and points, as far as it is necessary to resolve the order.

3- STANDARD DIVISIONThere shall be 8 teams in the Standard Division.
In the 1st stage, teams ranked 17-24 in the seeding list shall be distributed into 2 groups and teams in each group shall play each other in home and away matches to determine a ranking order for each group.
In a group, 2 match points shall be awarded for a win, 1 for a loss in a played match and 0 for a loss in an un-played or unfinished match, and the ranking order shall be determined primarily by the numbers of match points gained.
If two or more teams have gained the same number of match points their relative positions shall be determined only by the results of the matches between them, taking successively the number of match points, the ratios of wins to losses in individual matches, games and points, as far as it is necessary to resolve the order.
If two or more teams have gained the same number of match points and have the same ratios of wins to losses in individual matches, games and points, their relative positions shall be decided by lot.

MATCH PROCEDURETeam matches shall be played according to the new ENL system. A team shall consist of a maximum of 4 players. All individual matches shall be played on the same table. The home team shall be A1,A2,A3,A4 and the visiting team B1,B2,B3,B4.
The order of play shall be A1 v B2, A2 v B1, A3 v B3, A1 v B1, a doubles. The team match shall end when one team has won 3 individual matches, each the best of 5 games. The players nominated on position A1 and B1 are not allowed to compete in the doubles.
There shall be an interval of not more than 15 minutes after the second individual match unless both captains have agreed before the start of the team match that there shall be no interval.
