TTCLM Round 3: BORUSSIA DUSSELDORF targets third victory in a row

In spite of having some problems in its line-up, German side aims win against KST ENERGA-MANEKIN TORUN

 

TTCLM Round 3 will be held this Thursday and Friday (November 3rd-4th), as ten times TTCLM champion BORUSSIA DUSSELDORF hosts KST ENERGA-MANEKIN TORUN. German side wasn’t in full swing in this week, having just Sharat Kamal ACHANTA on the team’s practices, but Coach Danny HEISTER stressed on club’s website that his side, in spite of all these circumstances, has enough quality to beat Polish team:

 

„On the paper, we are the favorites. Timo BOLL was in China this week, Anton KALLBERG played for national team of Sweden, while Kristian KARLSSON is on his way to recover after his inflammation in the left foot. Thus we had just Kamal ACHANTA on the practices this week”.

 

Other Group D game will be staged in Austria where SPG WALTER WELS welcomes the 2013 TTCLM runner-up CHARTRES ASTT. Borussia Dusseldorf leads in this company with 2-0 score, while Chartres and Energa-Manekin Torun stand on 1-1 each.

 

VAILLANTE SPORTS ANGERS TT faces TTF LIEBHERR OCHSENHAUSEN in the battle for the second place of Group A which will see also the clash between top seeded TTC FAKEL GAZPROM ORENBURG and ROSKILDE BORDTENNIS BTK61.

 

Reigning TTCLM champion travels to Poland to meet KS UNIA AZS AWFiS GDANSK. Marcos FREITAS & Co. target third consecutive victory, while two runner-ups of the TTCLM, UMMC (2013 finalist) and ESLOVS AI BORDTENNIS (2016 finalist) will play one against another to improve their group stage record to 2-1.

 

Group C confronts two sides with different experiences in first two rounds: unbeaten FC SAARBRUCKEN TISCHTENNIS hosts win-seeking TTC OSTRAVA 2016. G. V. HENNEBONT TT and BOGORIA GRODZISK MAZOWIECKI will play in France, having 1-1 score each.
