JOOLA European Youth Top 10 in Prague

After six rounds, at the JOOLA European Youth Top 10 in Prague, two top seeds Vladimir SIDORENKO of Russia and Swede Truls MOREGARD are unbeaten in the Cadet Boys Event.

In the opening round of the day, MOREGARD faced serious challenge before he beat Bilal HAMACHE. French player was unbeaten yesterday, but today he managed just to take one game from Swede. It was the first one that MOREGARD lost in six rounds.

“Only at the beginning of the tournament I was little bit nervous, but now everything is fine. I am in good shape and I am looking forward my encounter with SIDORENKO tomorrow,” said Truls.

Bilal HAMACHE also put SIDORENKO under pressure. Top seed won their encounter in six games, but it was close.

“It is a first time that we met. I did not know what to expect. He surprised all of us here a little bit. His service game is very good, and he is good in blocking. HAMACHE’s forehand is also very dangerous. However, when I lost second game, my coach told me I have to put myself together. I am no. one here and I have to play that way. I gave my best to listen to the advice,” said SIDORENKO.

The duel between SIDORENKO and MOREGARD will be the real jewel of the event.

“I do not like to play against Swede. He is dangerous for me and he proved that already at the European Championships in Zagreb, where he beat me 3:1. Also Truls won all his matches in straight games or lost only one game, so he justified his status here already.”

SIDORENKO concluded the day after the seven games duel against Vincent PICARD. He was always one step behind, but in the close finish he won the decisive game.
