JOOLA European Youth Top 10 in Prague

There are no unbeaten players in the Cadet Girls Event at the 2016 JOOLA European Top 10 in Prague. After six rounds, two players holds the top with one defeat -CHEN Xingtai of Azerbaijan and Tania PLAIAN of Romania.

Tania PLAIAN started the tournament at the position no. four at the seeding but after two days of play her ambition followed her good record.

“When I came her I was not thinking of medal, but with good results and good position on the standings, now I become more ambitious,” admitted PLAIAN.

Today she beat Laura TIEFENBRUNNER, ZHOU Chuyi and Ekaterina ZIRONOVA.

After poor start Laura TIEFENBRUNNER of Germany recorded first win in the fifth round against Anna WEGRZYN of Poland.

“I am aware I am not among top 10 players in Europe; I came as no. 12, so my expectations are not very high. All I was wanted is to win few games. I was not able to record the victory on the opening day, but today I was more relaxed. I realized I had nothing to lose, I was under less pressure and it paid off,” said TIEFENBRUNNER.
