JOOLA European Youth Top 10 in Prague

Adina DIACONU is the leading player after six rounds of play in the Junior Girls Event at the JOOLA European Top 10 in Prague. She beat all her adversaries on her way to the final day of the tournament in Czech Republic. Audrey ZARIF of France and Andreea DRAGOMAN of Romania followed her closely with one defeat.

“After six round, still, the match against DRAGOMAN was the hardest for me. I am the only player to beat her here and it speaks a lot too. I have to be ready for tomorrow. I have to play against Audrey ZARIF, NING Jing and ZHANG Xuan. It is going to be hard, but I will start the day with great confidence that I have after those victories. In addition I beat them all already, so I am not afraid,” said DIACONU.

Today, Audrey ZARIF faced Maria MALANINA of Russia in the opening round of day two, but she highlighted the victory over Tin Tin Ho day earlier as a most important in first four rounds.

“I lost against Tin Tin in the quarterfinal of the European Championships and it was important for me to nullified that defeat. It has not started good for me. I was 3:1 in reverse, before I recovered to win in seven games,” explained ZARIF.

Audrey is the no. three seed.

For me here, it is most important to take my chances. I am trying to be as much aggressive in my approach to the game, as I can. Also I must keep my spirit high and preserve good attitude,” said ZARIF.

Strong nerves helped her in the fifth round. She won the nail biting marathon against Daria TRIGOLOS of Belarus.
