Russian club started excellent tonight, as Jun MIZUTANI beat Par GERELL in straight games. Host confirmed his good shape from recent National Championships of Japan, where he won the second title in a row.

GAO Ning leveled result against Grigory VLASOV. Russian was unique UMMC`s player who took the point in the first quarter final leg, but this time he was beaten in straight games.

After two encounters, it was clear that UMMC`s destiny depends on Alexander SHIBAEV`s possibility to beat Robert GARDOS. The clash was very close and tense, with many upside-downs, but Austrian managed to win in four sets, providing the semi-final ticket for his side.

The fourth match was not played. Jun MIZUTANI informed officials that he is not able to play because of leg injury. Doctor examined his leg and confirmed that injury exists.
