Teresa DEVANEY made it to the top in Auckland

Teresa DEVANEY has won World Gold in the Over 60 Doubles event at the World Veterans Championships. DEVANVEY really put her stamp on the Big stage in Auckland, New Zealand, when winning her Gold Medal in the Over 60 Ladies Doubles with partner Larisa ANDR

Teresa DEVANEY has won World Gold in the Over 60 Doubles event at the World Veterans Championships.

DEVANVEY really put her stamp on the Big stage in Auckland, New Zealand, when winning her Gold Medal in the Over 60 Ladies Doubles with partner Larisa ANDREEVA from Russia. Teresa and Larisa scored an impressive straight sets victory over Monica Kneip and Gerda Kux-Sieberath from Germany in the final on Saturday.

Commenting on the win, Teresa stated: “It is a great feeling when they announce your name and say you are from Ireland”

Winning the Ladies Doubles title at the Veterans World Championships in Auckland, NZ, however, really puts all else into a different perspective.

Teresa DEVANEY is consistent winner of Veterans tournaments in Ireland and England over the past decade. She won Team Gold medal in Over 50s in 6 Nations Veteran Championships as well as Doubles Gold medal in Over 50s Doubles; also won Over 60s Singles Gold. In the 2013 European Veterans Championships in Bremen, Teresa won a bronze medal in Over 60s Singles. 2014 World Veterans Champion: Over 60 Doubles
