Serbia clinched 10 medals at Balkan Champs

At the 40th Balkan Championships in Tirana, Serbia clinched 10 medals in U21 category. After double success in Team’s Event Serbia improved their record with three more individual gold medals.

In Men’s Singles Event Valentin NADJNEMEDI beat his teammate Nikola STRUGAREVIC in the final, whilst Irfan CEKIC of Montenegro and Alin SPELBUS of Romania clinched bronze. Viktoria TRUZINSKI of Serbia beat Bernadett BALINT of Romania at the final hurdle of the Women’s Singles Event. Sibel REMZI of Bulgaria and Roxana ISTRATE of Romania won bronze.

In the Men’s Doubles event Manole ALEXANDRU and Alin SPELBUS of Romania clinched gold. Ilija MAJSTOROVIC and Valentin NADJNEMEDI of Serbia secured silver, whilst bronzewent to Serbia with Nikola MARINKOVIC and Nikola STRUGAREVIC as well as to Montenegro and FYR Macedonia with Irfan CEKIC and Kristian STANOJKOVSKI.

In Women’s Doubles Event at the top of the list in Region are Ana FENJVESI and Viktoria TRUZINSKI, followed by Bernadett BALINT and Roxana ISTRATE, Aliz DJURCIK and Aneta MAKSUTI and finally Krasimira YOVKOVA of Bulgaria and Diana LUPU of Romania.

In Mixed Doubles Event Alexandru MANOLE and Bernadett BALINT of Romania beat Ilija MAJSTOROVIC and Viktoria TRUZINSKI of Serbia. Daniel IVANOV and Sibel REMZI of Bulgaria and Irfan CEKIC OF Montenegro with Emina HADZIAHMETOVIC of Bosnia and Herzegovina clinched bronze.
