The draw of 2014/15 Women`s European Champions League was held with eight clubs sorted in two groups. Turkish champion Fenerbahce SC again starts as no. 1 seed, playing in Group A beside KTS Spar Zamek Tarnobrzeg (POL), SVNO STROCK (AUT) and Szekszard AC (HUN). Group B has last two champions, the reigning one TTC Berlin Eastside and 2012/13 winner Linz AG Froschberg, while other two clubs are Metz TT (FRA) and Postas Sport Egyesulet (HUN).

New season will be opened by Round 1 on September 5-7th and most interesting should be one in Istanbul where actual runner-up, Fenerbahce will meet the 2011/12 finalist STROCK. Other pairs of opening round are Zamek – Szekszard, Linz – Metz, Berlin – Postas. The Round 2 (October 3-5th) offers one well known rivalry: Zamek against Fenerbahce. These two clubs met in last three seasons, playing in 2013 ETTU Cup final and 2014 WECL semis.

Berlin defends the title and it will play for its third WECL crown, as Linz tries the same. Fenerbahce again starts as a clear favorite, having one super strong newcomer, world`s no. 7 WU Yang (China), and good defender Irene IVANCAN who played very important role in Berlin`s winning team. Two times individual European champion Viktoria PAVLOVICH and Elisabeta SAMARA continue and other two players are WEN Jia and Yana NOSKOVA.

The second seed, Linz AG Froschberg will again compete with its old trio: LIU Jia, Sofia POLCANOVA and Iveta VACENOVSKA. LI Xiaodan, Camelia POSTOACA and SHENG Dandan completed the squad of Austrian side.

Berlin will try to repeat its best season ever with just one change: Petrissa SOLJA came from Linz, while Irene IVANCAN went to Istanbul. SHAN Xiaona, Georgina POTA and Kristin SILBEREISEN showed, leading by coach Irina PALINA, that they have a quality to collect more trophies.
