The crowd gave their all; once again the atmosphere in the Scotstoun Sports Campus was passionate but, for the host nation, it was to be defeat at the quarter-final stage of the Men’s Team event at the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games.

Scotland suffered a three matches to nil reverse at the hands of India, the third seeds.

Defeat for Scotland meant that a mouth-watering clash against the old enemy, England, would not take place. In the same half of the draw as India and Scotland, England beat Wales by three matches to nil.
