Almeria is getting ready for veterans

From September 2nd until September 7th 2014 Almería (Spain) will host the European Veterans Team Championship. Almería is situated in the southeast of the Iberian Peninsula, on the shores of the Mediterranean.
The venue of the event is Palacio de los Juegos Mediterráneos, a modern sports facility, inaugurated in 2004 on the occasion of the XXV Mediterranean Games Almería, that hosted the volleyball and gymnastics trials. With an area of 14,158 m2, with capacity for 5,000 spectators and is situated next to the football stadium for the Games of the Mediterranean where it plays its home matches on UD Almería who play in the Firstd Division of the Spanish League.
The deadline for the registration is August 2nd 2014.
Team event will be played in two stages. In the first stage there will be qualifying groups of three or four teams, depending of the number of entries. In second stage, teams having finished first or second in their group, will qualify for the European Team Veterans title events. Teams having finished third or fourth in their group, will be entitled to play in the corresponding consolation events. Both tournaments shall be played on a knock-out basis.
