Yunli SCHREINER knocked out Berlin

There are no unbeaten teams in Women`s European Champions League Group A! French Metz scored its very first WECL win, defeating the 2012 champion Berlin Eastside 3:2 in front of 450 home spectators.

The main role belonged to well experienced Yunli SCHREINER who beat in second match recent individual runner-up of 2013 European Championships SHAN Xiaona, and she secured the win to Mez in fifth clash against Georgina POTA, supported by very loud fans. Both times she played brilliant, not allowing any set to her rivals.

In opening game Georgina POTA defeated the 2009 individual European champion WU Jiaduo in five sets. Hungarian was two sets down, but dominated in next three.

Laura GASNIER and Irene IVANCAN also spent five games. Decided experience of the 2011 individual ECH silver medalist.

It was not a good day for SHAN Xiaona who lost both her encounters in straight games. In forth match she was beaten from team mate in German national team, WU Jiadio. Before Round 4, SHAN had just one los (Fenerbahce`s HU Melek) and four wins, beating such good players as Viktoria PAVLOVICH and actual European champion LI Fen.
