Veronika PAVLOVICH returned to the European Youth Championships – but this time as a coach. In Belarus TT Association she took the responsibility of head coach in charge for the youth and in Ostrava her main focus is cadet girls team. “I started at the Czech Open this year. I must admit it turns out to be much harder then I thought. Not fisically, but emotionally,” said PAVLOVICH with the smile.

We will always remember her emotions during team matches and her heartily responds on her sister Viktoria’s ups or downs…“That was the hardest thing when I started my coaching job, to try to react calmly. That was the part of the “school” that took time for me to learn. In the first tournament I burned for each ball, for each point of my players. After three days I felt like I was running marathon. I was so tired and empty. Then I realise that I have to change something. I put some distance and offered more stability to players. Now it is better, I learned my lesson” explained Veronika.

PAVLOVICH said Good bye to the national team as a player, but she will be still involved in club’s scene. She will play for Russia’s club next season. “We made arrangement for me as a coach in period of one year in Belarus. It is whole new experience for me, so I do not know where it will lead me. We will see what will be in the future.”

In Ostrava Belarus team doing great. “Everything went according to plans. We are very satisfied.”

Junior Girls were seeded at position no. two in their group, but Alina ARLOUSKAYA, Katsiaryna BARAVOK and Hanna PATSEYEVA concluded first phase on top spot. They beat all adversaries from France, Turkey and Hungary. Junior Boys  Team with Siarhei AFANASENKA, Vadim ARASHENKA and Gleb SHAMRUK  is in the top of the lower division’s group E. In cadets category Lizaveta TSIKHANAVA and Daria TRIGOLOS finished second in the group. Boy’s are in lower division. Aliaksandr KHANIN and Andrei LABANAU are first in their group.

“We have very talented cadet girls and as always we can expect highest achievements from Junior girls,” said PAVLOVICH.
