Schwechat ready for huge upcoming EC

On Friday, October 4th, the 32nd LIEBHERR European Table Tennis Championships starts with the Team Event. The Organisers are well prepared to welcome fans, players, officials and spectators from all over Europe. The Austria’s sporting goals are to win two medals.

Vienna will gathers more than 1.000 accredited persons, including players, officials, umpires and referees and the Organising Committee itself. 25.000 spectators are expected for the LIEBHERR 2013 European Table Tennis Championships from 4th to 13th October in Schwechat/Austria.

Rudolf SPORRER, General Secretary of the Austrian Table Tennis Association said : “At the moment we are preparing the Event hall of the Multiversum Schwechat and the Werner SCHLAGER Academy for the event. Everything is running well and we are looking forward to welcome the first nations, arriving on Wednesday.“

The teams and players will play on twelve tables at the same time, 67 referees and umpires guarantee fair games, fans and guests from all over Europe are expected, more than 140 media representatives will report from the Championships, 50 Volunteers are helping the Organising Committee and in ten days more than 1.100 games will be played!
