Schwechat`s side celebrates Petra LOVAS (world`s no 70), former Berlin`s player, who beat in ultimate game CHENG I-Ching (no. 22). It was a good decision to put her at no. 2 and remove Daniela DODEAN to no. 3.

Recent European champion LI Fen was the biggest hope of SVS STROCK, so when she lost from CHENG I-Ching in five games of opening match, the host was in very bad situation. Swede leveled on 2:2 in sets taking four points in a row with very aggressive play (7:9, 11:9). But, in ultimate chapter, she couldn`t convert four points lead (8:4) into the win. CHENG changed the rhythm with her serve, arriving first to the match ball. Than LI was one point from the win, whilst guest finally used her third game ball.

Petra LOVAS started well against two times former European champion Viktoria PAVLOVICH (no. 15). But, the game went to different direction when Hungarian one easy, high ball, sent to the net (9:11). Guest continued with a lot of confident in her defensive style, having clear lead in next two sets (9:0 in third, 4:0 in fourth).

Daniela DODEAN (no. 43) showed her best WECL play this season, defeating HU MELEK (no. 38) in straight games. Romanian controlled the match from the first to the last moment.

In fourth encounter actual European champion overcame former one: LI Fen – Viktoria PAVLOVICH 3:1. Host surprised guest playing very well some very long rallies, changing the rhythm, despite the fact that defenders prefer more that kind of game. Fenerbahce`s player saved three set balls in second set, but she couldn`t fourth one. LI combined short and long serve in fourth and that helped a lot her.

Finally, LOVAS surprised CHENG by excellent play in first two sets. She had 8:7 in third, but guest turned the lead, winning easily fourth set. The key moment was seen when Hungarien came from 0:2 to 8:3 in fifth set.
