All five matches of 2013/14 Men`s European Champions League Round 6 will be held this Friday on same time (19h30 CET). In groups B and D everything is decided, while in A and C is almost clear. However, the names of all eight quarter finalist will be known on December 20th.

In last match of Group A, the 2009 MECL runner-up LIEBHERR Ochsenhausen will meet Vaillante Angers. When you share the group with reigning champion Fakel Gazproma Orenburg, as these two clubs do, your real chance should be two other games. Angers realized that very well, beating at home Ochsenhausen 3:0 (9:2 in sets), so now German side must win minimum 3:0 (9:1) to reach MECL quarter final. It looks like impossible, especially knowing excellent shape of Panagiotis GIONIS in last few months, but RYU Seung Min & Company will try to create big upset at Biberach.

Everything is clear in Group B: UMMC and Pontoise are going to quarter final, Saarbrucken to ETTU Cup, whilst Eslov AI is fixed on fourth place. Of course, UMMC and Pontoise (both 4-1 score) will do their best to reach the top spot. This Friday Russian champion plays at Sweden, while French side goes to Germany.

For now, Werder Bremen is unique club from Bundesliga who will play in 2013/14 MECL quarter final. Despite surprisingly hard home loss last week from Hennebont (3:0, 9:4). “The Greens” finished their games in Group C, having 2-2 score (7-7 match ratio, 30-29 set ratio), Hennebont has 2-1 (7:5, 28:22) and Walter Wels 1-2 (5-7, 20:27). In ultimate clash at this group, French club hosts Austrians who would progress in case of 3:0 victory.

Group D provided the biggest surprise this fall. Ten times European champion Borussia Dusseldorf not just miss quarter final second times in a row, but lost all four games in group stage (three times 3:0, once 3:2). Chartres and Niederosterreich booked their places among the best eight clubs of Old Continent, and they will play one against another in ultimate round. French champion has an impressive 3-0 score (9-0 match ratio) and after 3:0 (9:3) win at Schwechat they are almost secured top spot of Group D.
